On the academic front, M.Ch Surgical Oncology course was started with an intake of one student per year.. The department conducts M.Ch Surgical Oncology course with an intake of one student per year under the guidance of Dr. Mr. Srinivasulu M.S. M.Ch. The course was started in the year 2005 with the approval of MCG under the stewardship of Dr. M. Srinivasulu M.S. M.Ch. The entrance test is conducted yearly by the NTR university of Health Sciences , Vijayawada and the degree is awarded by the NTR UHS. This has been an achievement of sorts as M Ch Surgical Oncology is available in very few centres in our country The Department of surgical oncology, MNJ Institute of Oncology & Regional Cancer Center , Hyderabad , is one of the very few centers conducting this course in the country. The first student from the department has successfully completed the course in 2008.
