A Cancer Center offers expert care from a team of oncology specialists who work together to treat the whole patient. This multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment is the hallmark of MNJ Institute of Oncology. This is one of the several Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country designated as a REGIONAL CANCER CENTER by Government of India, which requires that certain standards be met and maintained. |

Standard Care |
It is a term for treatments that are scientifically proven and medically accepted procedures. The standard care chosen to treat a patient depends upon a number of criteria including the type and stage of the cancer. The care given may consist of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, or a combination of treatments. |

Multidisciplinary approach |
A diverse health care team includes radiation therapy specialists, Surgical Oncologists, Medical Oncologists,Nuclear Medicine specialists, nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, nutritionists, psychologists, and others. |

Experience |
The staff of a cancer center have a focused training and long experience in treating various cancers. Ability to diagnose, plan and execute treatment strategies is an asset of the staff of the cancer center. |

Facilities |
A good cancer center requires highly specialized and expensive equipment for providing world class treatment.
Oncological surgeries are complicated and prolonged requiring a strong anesthetic and supportive services.
For effective radiation therapy with minimal side effects computer assisted treatment planning systems, Simulators and HDR machines are a must. |
