| Under the Cytology wing an earlv cancer detection programme was started in ]an 1983. We periodically organize Cancer Screening Camps in the rural and semi-urban areas. |

| Department of Pathology is managed by one Professor, two Assistant Professor with the assistance of Four Lab Technicians and Five Lab Attendants. It is well equipped with necessary equipment. Established Blood bank and working to full extent. Started HIV and HBS AG, HCV tests by Elisa method. |

| Our Institute is in the NCRP/ICMR project of hospital based Cancer Registry Program for development of Cancer Atlas of India. |
